SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL THEATRE
SUPPORTING NEW ZEALAND HERITAGE!
Tech
notes:
The
venue for our production is an historic Auckland site, in
Devonport. We intend to donate a percentage of our sales
to the restoration of the old headstones in its graveyard.
We know that the Devonport Community have a lively interest
in their heritage. Likewise, the church is keen to support
us as a member of North Shore City’s arts community.
The
Real Theatre Company has come up with an interesting concept
in staging the play in a quirky old 200 seater Presbyterian
church in Devonport that has raked seating. The first and
third act of the play will be set in the church. The 2nd
act will have patrons standing under a massive tree (outside)
using the real surrounding graveyard for the graves that
they dig (facade graves here of course!) The whole environment
is perfect for this clever Irish play that requires minimal
set and props but demands superb acting in a unique setting.

Godspell
(7 - 17 July)
In
2003, our production of the much loved 70’s sweet
rock musical, Godspell, was a runaway success – so
much so that we’ve decided to do it again… with
the support of our original cast and production crew.
We
are delighted to have enlisted the enthusiastic support
of Beaumont
Centre - www.beaumontcentre.co.nz.
Our show proved a hit with families, the young, the not-so-young
and the definitely still young at heart. If you missed out
last year, we’re giving you another chance.
