Despite
the strange accent, Nancy has been a part of New Zealand
for the last 20yrs, and considers New Zealand her home,
the place her heart identifies with. Also she has been
apart of the theatre and television
industry for most of that time.
Popping
up in Shortland St, Hercules, appearing at the Mercury,
Court Theatre, in plays and musicals, notably The Crucible
as Abigail, and Daughters of Heaven as Juliet Hulme.
Last
year she made her debut with ATC, as Nadya Krupskaya
(Lenin's wife), requiring once again the accent and
language of Russia. Including in last year she appeared
as 'the woman' in Pinta's 'a kind of alaska', for which
she had to learn a mere 20 pages of non stop dialogue,
compared to the glorious 35 pages of words for the wonderful
Shirley Valentine.
